About Us
Mission Statement
Welcome to Fantasia Showstoppers!
Fantasia Showstoppers was founded in 2020 to provide meaningful and accessible creative opportunities for young people aged 8-18 in Sydney’s West.

If your child seeks the thrill of a creative adventure, or you are searching to unlock their super-charged social confidence, your child will feel right at home with Fantasia Showstoppers.

Our offerings include weekly classes for skills development in musical theatre, drama and general performance, as well as occasional workshops on a range of theatre-related themes. We also produce 2-3 JR/KIDS shows per year so that students may implement their learning and perform in front of an audience.

Here, at Fantasia Showstoppers, we pride ourselves on fostering an environment where young people are able to explore their creativity and self-expression within a welcoming and inclusive community. Our teachers, creatives and leaders all have a passion for musical theatre, learning and empowering young people to thrive within a space that accepts them for who they are. We pride ourselves on our connection with the Fantasia Showstoppers community, as well as our connection with the broader community within the Hawkesbury and beyond. At Fantasia Showstoppers, we are a family.

Company Values
-
Transparent & Respectful Communication: Clear communications are most effective. It is our aim to provide transparent communication that is concise while addressing all relevant queries or concerns. Questions are welcome! We understand that we may all have different opinions, and that is okay! All we ask is that any communication remains respectful and open.
-
Kindness in Action and Communication: Kindness is vital in the ever-changing world we live in. Fantasia Showstoppers values kindness in both the way we speak to each other and the way we act. This applies to everyone in our community, and we ask all parents, performers, contractors, leaders, and the broader community to treat each other with kindness and respect.
-
Inclusive Community: Fantasia Showstoppers is a volunteer-led organisation that aims to provide equitable opportunities for young people to participate in community theatre. We do not tolerate discrimination or bullying in any form, for any reason. We are a LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent friendly place.
-
Focused on Young People: Our primary focus is the teaching and empowerment of young people within the genres of musical theatre and drama, as well as backstage and other technical aspects of theatre. It is our cherished belief that, when children and young people feel safe and accepted, they learn more easily and shine brighter.
-
Passion & Experience: At Fantasia Showstoppers, we draw on the expertise and experience of creative and technical people who are passionate about guiding young people on their theatre journeys.
